Audience at 4th HRANI Conclave

After hosting a Conclave in Lucknow in February on Environmental Concerns, HRANI hosted again another Conclave featuring Food Safety.

The conclave was inaugurated by Sh. Pawan Agarwal IAS, Secretary to Govt of India & CEO, FSSAI as Chief Guest. The other key guests include Sh. K.S. Pannu, IAS, Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Mission Director, Tandrust Punjab Mission and Commissioner, Food and Drug Administration, Punjab; Ms. Inoshi Sharma, Director, FSSAI; Sh Anoop Kumar, Deputy Director cum Joint Commissioner Food and Drug Administration, Punjab and Smt. Andesh Kang, Designated Officer and District Health Officer, Ludhiana.

Speaking at the Conclave, Agarwal said “We have come a long way in building trust with the Food Business. Certification under FOSTAC will now be mandatory throughout the Country shortly ”

Agarwal also emphasized on the role of catering sector in facilitating health of Citizens by ensuring safe food to consumers. He further stressed on the need for scrupulous implementation of food safety and hygiene rating.

He applauded the efforts of HRANI for being associated in the endeavors of HRANI. He also placed on record the initiatives of Punjab Government under the able leadership of Sh K.S. Pannu.

While concluding, he also announced of making FSSAI license perpetual (subject to payment of Annual fees) in the coming days on the demand of Industry.

The conclave featured sessions on Hygiene Rating and Repurposing of used cooking oil including FOSTAC. The presentations by eminent speakers followed by Q & A session were held during the Conclave.

This event was a hit which was attended by around 225 delegates which includes the hospitality leaders, decision makers; industry shapers and members of HRANI.

Early adopters of Hygiene rating certified by FSSAI were awarded by CEO FSSAI which includes Regenta Central Amritsar by Royal Orchid ; Radisson Chandigarh Zirakpur; Radisson Blu MBD, Ludhiana; Kebab City Ludhiana; Barbeque Nation Ludhiana.

The conclave was supported by ITC, IDS, BIO D Energy India Pvt Ltd, Chivas , Sage Culture, Bombay Creations, Adkorp and Basant Ice Cream and as Sponsors.

HRANI institutes Awards of Excellence

To encourage industry professionals and recognize excellence, HRANI for the first time has instituted its Awards. The awards will be given during Conventions/ Conclaves/ Summits, organized by HRANI with the help of City / State Associations empanelled with the association.
