Rajasthan Government allows reimbursement of SGST to hotel industry and tour operators
There has been an unprecedented effect of Covid-19 pandemic all across the world, especially the hospitality and tourism industry which is striving for its survival and revival.

Hotel and Restaurant Association of Northern India (HRANI) has been taking up industry concerns with various departments of the Central and State government through representations. The Association has been demanding relief packages from the Government.

The Rajasthan Government had announced a major relief measure for hotel industry by allowing reimbursement of SGST due and deposited to hotel and tour operators
The beneficiaries will be entitled to reimbursement of 50% of SGST during the October 2020-March 2021 and 75% during the October 2020-March 2021 and 75% during April-June 2021. This order shall be applicable to registered taxable persons in the category of hotels, heritage hotels, resorts and tour operators. However, it will not cover stand-alone restaurants and clubs.

"This relief extended by the government will provide liquidity and ease the units" stated Surendra Kumar Jaiswal, President HRANI & Vice President, FHRAI. He further added, "We are thankful to the Government of Rajasthan for extending a helping hand to hotels and tour operators registered in the State. We have sent representation to other state also and are hopeful for the said relief".
FSSAI extends the date of enforcement of order of mentioning FSSAI License / Registration number from October 1, 2021 to January 1, 2022
Hotel and Restaurant Association of Northern India (HRANI) has been taking up industry concerns with various departments of the Central and State government through representations for relief in this period of crisis.

Continuing the effort, a representation was made to FSSAI Senior officials regarding extension of mandate to mention of FSSAI License / Registration number on the receipts /invoice/cash memo /bills etc. by food businesses on sale of food products w.e.f October 1, 2021.

A delegation from HRANI led by Treasurer Mr Garish Oberoi, Former President HRANI & FHRAI along with Mrs Renu Thapliyal, Secretary General and other hoteliers met the senior official on the subject matter.

The delegation apprised the officials that FBOs were finding it difficult to adopt the same due to shutdown of operations and closure of hotel and restaurant operations in most of the parts of the country.

With the efforts of HRANI, FSSAI has given extension for implementation of enforcement of order mandating to mention of FSSAI License / Registration number on the receipts /invoice/cash memo /bills etc. by food businesses on sale of food products w.e.f October 1, 2021 to January 1, 2022.

Govt extends emergency credit scheme for MSMEs till 31 March, 2022
In order to support COVID-hit MSMEs further, the Centre Government announced an extension of its Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS) till 31 March, 2022, or till guarantees for an amount of RS.4.5 lakh crore are issued under the scheme, whichever is earlier. The scheme launched in May last year was extended from October last year to November and then to March 2021 followed by June and then September along with subsequent expansion in scope as well to include more sectors and markets.
