Vision 20201st HRANI Convention at the holy city of Golden Temple - Amritsar

To commemorate 60 years of the association, HRANI organized the convention of North Indian States from 23-25 September, 2011 at ISTA Amritsar.

The seminar titled as Hospitality Industry - Vision 2020 looks ahead at the future of hospitality in India through the seven Stambhs(pillars)of tourism.

The Convention will involve various brain storming business sessions, Industry seminars and talk shows conducted by professionals from within the industry. Topics varying from tips on making your property Eco-Hotels, tapping franchising opportunities with global chains, training staff and new management mantras will dominate the sessions. The Convention will liven up each evening with musical performances, theme nights and fasion shows.

This 3 days event boosted trade & industry in the region besides providing a platform to exhibit their products and services to the delegates

 

 

 

Hunar se Rozgar Scheme- An initiative of MOT extended to North Indian Region

Under  the scheme capacity building for service providers (CBSP), the members of HRANI were posted with the  details of Hunar se Rozgar scheme. A presentation to the members of the association on the schema was presented by Mr. N.S. Bhuie, Director (studies), National Council of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Noida. Mr. Bhuie informed the members that the course curriculum for :Hunar se Rozgar” programme has been developed by the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology and can be delivered by leading hotels & restaurant of country under their corporate social responsibility initiative. He also briefed about the food production programme is of eight weeks duration while the food & beverage service programme would stretch for six weeks. The presentation was attended by key players of hotel & restaurant fraternity of North India.

Orientation Programme-IHM Pusa

The first session was held at the Delhi Institute of Hotel Management, Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi in the presence of Mr. S.M. Shervani, President, Mr. Garish Oberoi, Hony. Secretary, HRANI, Mr. N.S. Bhuie, Director (studies) NCHMCT, Mr. M.D Kapoor, Seceretary General, FHRAI and Ms. Renu Thapliyal, Astt. Secretary General HRANI.
The applicants were briefed about the working and environment of hotels by Mr. S.M. Shervani, President, HRANI and about the scheme by Mr. Bhuie. The applicants were interviewed by the HR representatives of the participating hotels.
“We will continue to participate and support the Hunar se Rozgar scheme by initiating its second round in Chandigarh” said Mr. Shervani, President, HRANI.
