Meeting with Hon’ble Tourism Minister Subodh Kant Sahay
A delegation from HRANI has met Mr. Subodh Kant sahay, Hon’ble Tourism Minister requesting him to meet the Hon’ble Finance Minister to roll back the imposition of Service Tax on hotels & restaurants.
The Hon’ble Minister of Tourism apprized us that he has spoken to the Hon’ble Finance Minister Shri Pranab Mukherjee on the said matter. The Secretary Tourism has also raised this issue with Secretary (Finance).
We had already sent representation on Service tax mentioning its impact on the industry to the Hon’ble Minister of Finance, secretary Finance and most of the MP’s.
